Today, working from home while my house is being painted and two skylights are being patched. The house is a mess because we needed to clear the areas where the folks are painting. As a side note, if you are from the Hershey PA area Jeff Ebersole is an excellent contractor.
It is interesting, one of the pieces of furniture that need to move was a bookcase that I built from plans and wood I surface planed. At one point I had to install cleats for the shelves because of all the books. So now around me are books stacked everywhere. I have to say, I like the clutter. I feel comfortable with my desk pushed against my lazy boy. I feel creative.
Concerning my novel, I’ve received some positive reviews of my novel from people that I don’t know which is great. People you know tend not to be overly critical. Wave Rider is not a typical science-fiction novel. It takes place in the future and takes a dystopian view of the United States two-hundred years from the present. Some have described is as much thriller and science-fiction.
In the novel I just completed is draft is Desperate Actions I moved to the phycological thriller genre. It follows a mid-fifties man who is being phased from his employment and he desperately is trying to hang on to protect his pension. As the pressure mounts this intense logical mind cannot comprehend why he can’t convince anyone he is being unfairly terminated. With all logic exhausted he crosses the line to insanity.
Although different genre’s these two have something in common. The stories take an ordinary person and place them is a stressful situation where they feel they have no choice but to finish what was started.
If you have read my book Wave Rider, I would appreciate a review on any of places that house my book. The links for those sites are under the Wave Rider page of my site.
Thanks, stay safe.
