The electoral college system was enacted to appease the south with the three-fifths compromise. In 1787 about 40% of the south were enslaved people who did not have the right to vote.
The south wanted those pesky slaves to count as a person, except when it came to voting.
With all the numbers from the last few elections I think there needs to be another compromise. From the numbers on a base level it looks like educated affluent people voted for Harris. And less educated poorer people voted for Trump.
An advanced degree would be a whole vote.
If a slave is worth 3/5 of a person in 1787 then a person who never graduated high school should be worth the same.
If a person has fewer than 15 teeth and went all the way to the 8th grade, then they would be 2/5 of a person.
I think that would be a great service to the country.
Two notes 1: this is sarcasm
2: For those with less than 1 vote affluent means wealthy or rich.
