I think I need to take a break from social media. I was going back and forth with a person about the election. Each time I would present a fact they would come back with what they heard on their chosen cable news show.
The subject turned to Covid and when I bested them on facts, they came back that more people died from the vaccine than from Covid. I didn’t respond because you can’t argue with a toddler.
From the numbers one of the groups that broke heavily for Trump was white college men. I saw a guy on social media bragging he won a thousand dollars betting on Trump. Evidently white men bragging about winning bets on Trump is a trend.
It made me think. Joe Biden and I assume Kamala Harris would have continued to pursue college debt forgiveness. For certain Trump and the republicans will stop the pursuit. Considering in my state the average debt is 39,375 dollars. Paying that off is probably twenty or more years of payments.
I think those white college men should evaluate if going to college was the best decision considering which horse they decided to bet on.
